As 2025 comes to an end, I’d like to reflect on a year defined by growth, collaboration, and meaningful progress across the Gradlinc ecosystem.
This year, we didn’t just expand our reach — we deepened our impact. Our student community now exceeds 25,000 verified students, with more than 600 employers actively engaging with early-career talent on the platform. We also strengthened access and inclusion by onboarding over 30 technical and vocational education and training colleges (TVET), ensuring that all learning pathways into employment are visible and valued.
In addition, we published nearly 200 job opportunities tailored specifically to students and recent graduates entering the employment space — reinforcing our mission to connect graduates with meaningful, career-starting roles that align with their skills and aspirations.
Building Pathways and Partnerships
This past year marked the successful launch of Gradlinc Consulting, a major step forward in our mission to bridge the gap between education and industry. Our inaugural webinars with Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), Discovery Life, and Gray Feather Consulting positioned Gradlinc as a thought leader on Gen Z employability and workplace readiness.
We also introduced more paid partnership resources, expanding the tools available to students through collaborations with Optimi College, Konnect Brain Profiling, and the House of Louis Business School Academy, among others. These partnerships support continuous learning and skill development — key ingredients for employability in today’s fast-changing world.
Our 2025 Theme: Redefining Entry Level
Throughout the year, our focus on “Redefining Entry Level: Creating Accessible Jobs for South Africa’s Graduates” encouraged employers to view graduates not just as first-time job seekers, but as contributors who can add real value from day one. By reshaping entry-level expectations, we’re helping to create more accessible and equitable pathways for graduates to begin their professional journeys.
Looking Ahead to 2026: The Mindshift Generation
As we move into 2026, we’re excited to launch our new theme: “The Mindshift Generation: Thriving in the Age of Adaptability.”
In an AI driven, fast-evolving world, adaptability has become the ultimate employability currency. This theme calls on all of us — students, employers, and institutions — to shift not just our skill set, but our mindset.
• Students: Build learning agility, resilience, and curiosity.
• Employers: Foster agile, forward-thinking teams.
• Institutions: Embrace lifelong learning as the foundation for relevance and growth.
It’s a mindset designed for a generation — and a world — that thrives on change.
What’s Coming in 2026
Next year, Gradlinc will continue expanding its tools, reach, and influence with new offerings for our growing community:
1. Employer Webinars — Focused on Gen Z employability and preparing for Gen Alpha’s entry into higher education and the workforce.
2. Resource Advertising — Continued visibility for partners who empower our graduate community.
3. Corporate Sponsorships & Preferred Employer Branding — Helping employers position themselves as top destinations for exceptional young talent by showcasing their culture, opportunities, and involvement in student programs.
These tools are designed specifically for employers within our Gradlinc network who wish to engage, attract, and retain top graduate talent.
