A Word From Our Campus Ambassador

Compliments of the new season!
A new season often feels like a fresh start —a chance to plan, set goals and execute. Maybe you’ve told yourself this year will be different. You’ll learn that skill that’s been on your mind, connect with people who inspire you, finally land that job, or even take the bold step of starting your own business.

But here’s a gentle truth: later, the coffee gets cold.

As a graduate, you might feel like you have time to figure things out, that the right moment will present itself eventually. But the best time to act isn’t “later.” The best time is when the coffee is still hot, when your dreams are still vivid, and when the courage to start is still within reach.

Here are some tips to Start Now:
1.Take That First Step
Been thinking about a certain job? Apply for it.
Considering entrepreneurship? Write down your business idea and start small, maybe it’s researching the market or offering a trial service.

2.Build Connections
Reach out to people in industries that excite you. Don’t overthink it.A simple LinkedIn message saying, “I admire your work and would love to learn from your experience,” can go a long way.
Tap into your existing networks, like alumni groups or community organizations, for mentorship or guidance.

3.Learn as You Go
You don’t need to have it all figured out. Sign up for a free course, attend webinars, or shadow someone in the field you’re interested in.

4.Say Yes to Opportunities
If an unexpected opportunity comes your way, don’t dismiss it because it doesn’t align perfectly with your plan. Every experience teaches you something and brings you closer to your goals.

A Personal Reminder
You don’t have to have a full plan or all the answers. You just need to begin. The coffee is warm now—full of potential and energy. Don’t wait for it to cool. Take a sip.
